Operating Principle of Elevators
2022.09.26
Operating Principle of Elevators: It is applicable for horizontal, inclined, and vertical conveyance of granular or powdered materials. The conveying distance varies by machine model, typically ranging from 2 meters to 70 meters. The rotating spiral blades propel the material to achieve screw conveyor transportation. The force preventing the material from rotating alongside the screw conveyor blades is derived from the material's own weight and the frictional resistance from the conveyor casing against the material. It boasts significant conveying capacity, especially in the case of cleated conveyors (commonly known as double-chain edge-guarded corrugated plate conveyors), which can achieve a production capacity of up to 1000 tons per hour. The traction chains possess high strength, suitable for long-distance conveyance. Layout of conveying lines is flexible. Compared to belt conveyors, plate conveyors can operate under conditions of larger inclination angles and smaller bending radii, thereby offering greater layout flexibility. The inclination angle of plate conveyors can reach 30°-35°, with a general bending radius of approximately 5-8 meters. Various processes such as sorting, drying, cooling, or assembly can be carried out during conveyance. Operation is smooth and reliable.
