The vertical lift, also widely known in the industry as the "vertical conveyor," is a highly specialized logistics automation equipment primarily designed for the efficient vertical transportation of unitized loads. This equipment is particularly suited for item transfer and transit tasks within multi-story buildings and vertical spaces, seamlessly interfacing with horizontal conveying equipment, Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), forklifts, and other handling tools to jointly construct a fully functional three-dimensional automated conveying system.
Compared to the automated operation of vertical lifts, traditional freight elevators rely more heavily on manual operation. When using traditional freight elevators, operators must closely monitor the status of the elevator doors, ensuring they are fully open before entering or exiting to prevent pinching accidents. Additionally, to ensure stability during elevator operation, operators must ensure that cargo is neatly stacked to prevent swaying.

In contrast, traditional freight elevators rely more on manual operation, with both personnel and cargo entering and exiting through the elevator doors, which reduces transportation efficiency to some extent.
In terms of space occupation, vertical conveyors also demonstrate their superiority. Compared to traditional freight elevators, vertical conveyors require less space, making them more advantageous in space utilization.
Furthermore, vertical conveyors are equipped with various anomaly detection devices, enabling effective diversion of personnel and cargo to ensure worker safety. In contrast, traditional freight elevators require regular inspections and maintenance by professionals, and personnel need to accompany the cargo in and out, which increases safety hazards to some degree.
From the perspective of applicable environmental ranges, vertical conveyors also exhibit their broad applicability. They can perform unmanned and automated cargo handling tasks in various complex environments such as heavy-duty, explosion-proof, and low-temperature settings. Traditional freight elevators, however, struggle to achieve cross-floor manual handling in these environments.
In terms of customized design and maintenance, vertical conveyors also have significant advantages. They can be customized according to customers' actual needs and are easier to maintain. In contrast, traditional freight elevators are subject to strict government regulation, which increases the complexity of their operation to some extent.
Finally, in terms of digital management, vertical conveyors also demonstrate their advanced nature. They can digitize the management of various data, making the management process more standardized and efficient. In contrast, traditional freight elevators have relatively complex data management, making it difficult to achieve standardized management.
